Happy B-day Honey!! February 27th is your day!!

See more pictures in my slide show below!!

Everyone is asleep, and I'm being sneaky. Donnie's Mom made a photo album for him of his pictures! I found some really cool ones! He must have been the cutest coolest little guy from the start! They realized when he took the heat register in the house apart and put it back, that he was going to be a very talented little guy when it came to fixing things! I guess for his B-day one year they went to the junk yard, and I can't remember if it was a motor or transmission, but he took it apart and put it back together. I think I got my facts straight...lol His Mom says Ann Marie takes after him when it comes to her imagination!! Hope you enjoy this slide show! I sure had fun looking through his album!

He graduated from Malvern High School, Ashland University, and Hawking Tech.

I love the story of him pumping gas after graduating from College, and he had to take a cut in pay to come to Steubenville and work in his field of broadcasting. Just crazy how even though you have a degree, it doesn't always promise great pay at first...lol Don has now worked for over 21 years in broadcasting. All of which he's been employed with the local TV Station. WTOV TV9 He worked his way up from the bottom, and currently holds the position of Chief Engineer! We are proud of you honey! Donnie is also last, but not least, the greatest Dad and husband anyone could ever ask for!

He is being treated to a weekend away. We are headed to the "Highlands" down in Wheeling, WV. Have heard a lot about it. I'm sure we'll enjoy our stay!

Wow, finally my 15th B-day!!!!

In my Dad's tradition. I asked Doenisha what her favorite meal was... She wanted a roast, so Donnie stopped by the store on the way home Friday evening. I put my request in for "golden mushroom soup" if you've never put that in the crock with your roast before, you've got to try it!!! They thought I put too many potatoes and carrots in, but funny thing is, I don't think there were any leftovers...lol I put it in before going to bed, so the meat would fall apart by the time we ate. MMMMM.....she had atleast 1 refill, if not two...we had to wait for her to finish eating before we could start the party...lol Here are a few pictures from her party! I'm not sure if my chocaholic was more excited about the candy in her bag, or the "high school musical" movie we got her??????

Where did my little girl go??

We are so proud of her! Here are a few pictures I put together for her in a slide show! She's a very tender hearted girl that helps and keeps me going in the rough times. I'll never forget counting her fingers and toes at the hospital to make sure they were all there!! I also remember telling my friend that I wasn't sure I was allowed to say it, but I thought she was so pretty...lol She assured me that was o.k. She's now a 15 year old lady. She's in the 8th grade and will be heading off to the high school this summer. We're not rushing that. I'm not sure where the time went. She's also very attached to her little Ann Marie. They tend to snuggle when things are going wrong. It works both ways. Sometimes Mommy doesn't get to put Ann to bed...lol We just have to wink and let it go. Doenisha is like her second Mommy. We love you Doenisha and are so proud to have you in our home! Much love Mommy and Donnie Oh, yea. Can't forget Vanya and Annie. Some days they fight, but for the most part they are tightly woven...lol

Engagement December "2001"

Happy Valentines Donnie, my love! You mean so much to me, I don't know where to start...Thanx babe!!

I'll never forget the Sunday morning when Santa came to give the Sunday school kids different items that we had bought for them. Then some of the adults started sitting on his lap just for fun. Being kind of shy...I just stayed back. Just then Santa pulled a wrapped box out of his large bag and said it had my name on it??? I was rather puzzled. As I sat on his lap, he asked what did I want for Christmas. I whispered in his ear (didn't want Donnie to hear me...lol) Told him that I wanted to get engaged for Christmas. Well to my total surprise when I opened the package, there was a note that said "Donna Smith, will you marry me?" Oh, my...I was speechless. I almost ran to him, and we embraced for quite a while. Our whole church family was clapping and so excited! Camera's were flashing. I could hardly catch my breath to let him know...of course I would! God had given me a gift in Donnie that I knew was extra special. Someone who had brought me back to church after I had brokenheartedly swore I would never return. One our favorite songs is "God Blessed the Broken Road" as you probably have noticed.

At our Wedding, the First Dance was "Amazed" sung by the group Lonestar. A couple of years ago, Donnie took me to hear them in concert! I'll share a few pictures of the band with you!

??Special Delivery for a Florist?? :))))))

While makeing my 1st of 3 visits to the Chiropractor for the week...I enjoyed running an errand for my Friend Michelle who has a Hardware/Flowershop accross the street from me! She was in desperate need of Bakers Ferns for her arrangements for the day. After makeing my first stop and not finding any, had an awsome talk with the flower lady at Kroger...either she was lonely or I was just enjoying an adult conversation...(sometimes we need those...hehe) She suggested that I go to a local flower shop there in Wintersville...not knowing that it was sort of a competetor, I bravely went in and told the owner that I was the delivery person for "Special Touch Floral" in Bergholz. He was very kind and ended up giving me most of a case at his cost!!!! Wow, there are still nice people in this world! I really enjoy Michelle. We've become close from the fist day I stepped foot in Bergholz after we had purchased our house. All of the paint came from her store...and she even had fun helping me with colors and all. Well, I decided I had waited long enough to return her the favor for all the hard work she does of cheering other people up! I enjoy delivering flowers for her any chance I get. How was I going to arrange flowers for a florist???????? Well, here was my attempt. I sure hope it passes inspection????

Can't sleep, too much Cherry Pepsie!!!

We had a blast with the Furbee's last night! Their little miss Paige & our little Ann (both 3 yrs)...They are two little princesses that have a blast. We put them in the same car on the way to the restoraunt. About a 1/2 hour drive...they chit chatted the whole way there. I guess they have a head start to teenage years...lol We mostly had all you can eat beer battered fish, and some of us tried really hot wings out...lol Then we had to top it off with cheese cakes and smore fondue....mmmm No one walked away hungry...lol More like on the verge of miserable.

our little snow angel...

Getting her to stop eating snow is a non ending job. I personally do not think it will hurt her except we live on a busy street where coal trucks are constantly going by...lol Area ladies got together and gave the preschoolers gifts from Santa. Ann got this whole snow suit..gloves and hat to match & Nice warm pj's. We were so gratefull. She is growing like a bad weed...every time we turn around somthing is too small. I'm sure you all know what that's like! Hope you have a great day!

Yea!!! My Ford Feestyle Crossover......It's brand new!!! Sparkling paint job!!

Wow, almost $8,000.00 worth of damage...

When I picked up my Freestyle crossover yesterday it was sparkling! New parts, new paint job and the whole works! I think I am more excited about it now than I was the day I bought it...hehe The inside smells like fresh paint!! My rental car was a far cry from my "taxi"...lol The kids weren't too thrilled about having to scrunch into one back seat...had a few more arguments. Maybe that will help them appreciate what they have a little more.

These guys are best snow buds! Doenisha is the camera girl. Was trying to find a picture of her, but she said she doesn't really care for the snow. She only takes Ann out to let her have fun.

Ann loves to eat snow. Sometimes that's all you she'll do. Donnie told her she would get a belly ache, but she's not convinced. Doenisha made her some snow creme. She really liked that!

Also pictures of Cpl Kurtis Thomas... Yet another son of Rev and Mrs Mark Thomas that has served over seas for several tours. "2009"

Here we are! Another year has come and gone by soooo fast... I always heard my parents say that the older they got the faster time went, but I guess I'm just now experiencing it. I think part of it is the bills...lol Seems like we buy Christmas, and before we know it, it's time to shell out again...

Donnie and I were able to get out for a New Years Eve party last night. Donnie loves to sing, and has a beautifull voice, so he was able to sing at least three songs last night at the party. I love it when he sings special songs to me that we have found meaningful in our relationship. Those are times and memories that are building blocks along life's journey. I am so blessed. I love "God Blessed the Broken Road" and he knows it! So that was the last song he sang to me.

The kids stayed home and watched movies etc... Donnie had made a crock full of pork and kraut. Then he made a gallon of Egg Nogg, (of course no alcohol...hehe) so they would be well equipped. We told them that gallon had better not be gone when we got home...they like it so well, but would have been very sick :) They seemed to enjoy their evening also, and we brought some hats home to get a picture of them!!! Ann of course had to have a hat and a crown.

Our house at Christmas time!!

If you put your curser on the picture, it will give you a title. It's kind of genaric for now, but it's better than nothing right? I had a beutifull show all set up, and my computer won't let me post it. I guess Donnie probably needs to add some softwear.

Vanya's band concert went very well. Unfortunately my camera was on the fritz, so I don't have any pictures. I'm hopeing to get some off of a friend. We had cookies and pop afterwards in the cafeteria. Ann was only to have a 1/4 of a can, but when we got home, she snuck and finished all of it. I guess I didn't put it up high enough. Doenisha and I have been working hard on that slide show, so you can imagine how disappointed we both were when this program would not let us post it. It was sooooooooo pretty too. I'll have to call my expert "my sister" she has a beautifull blog.

Santa, & me at school Christmas party!!

Ann & Santa!

She doesn't really like him...but we talked her into asking him for the pedal tractor she wants. She loved him last year, but has screamed every time she sees him so far this year.

Mrs. Becky, Mrs. Diane & Mrs. Linda

Mommy came to my Christmas party with me!! We had so much fun! Some ladies from a local church got us all gifts!! I got a complete snow suit...hat and mittens! Plus I got pj's and a real plush puppy to sleep with. I got some other gifts too, but too busy to mention them all. I keep asking Santa for a pedal tractor! Daddy said we'd have to see if Santa had any in his workshop or not. I'm not sure I can wait that long, but Mommy said I have to.
Hurry Mom I caught him!!

MMMMMMMMMM Play dough....Mom isn't real sure about this, but I'm loving it!!

Actually got a whole play dough kit, so I can make sandwiches etc... I think I heard Mommy say I'll have to sit in my chair at the table to play with this stuff. Apparently she does not think I'm responsible enough to keep it out of the rug and wherever else it might end up. Like the florescent paint my sister left laying out and I got to fingerprint all over the living room with. That was a blast, until Mom found out, then we both got in trouble. When you want to have fun, you have to count the cost.

Merry Christmas!!! Hope you've enjoyed this. I think Mom will be posting the Johnson family reunion next, but my brother has his band concert tonight...

Be the first to see fresh updates!!
